From CBC: BC Ferries public hearings to focus on costs, services.
B.C.’s Transportation Minister Mary Polak is asking the public to take part in a consultation process on the future of BC Ferries to help find a better balance between service and costs.
As part of the process, the government will host open houses and small group meetings in coastal communities and webinars online, Polak announced Monday. [continue]
And then they’ll ignore everything suggested, I expect. Nothing like giving the appearance of change while actually doing very little. Or am I just too cynical? [continue]

I have been in business most of my life and I have never had the idea to increase my customer base by reducing service and raising rates. i am not sure where that idea came from but it will not work. Cut costs from the top. and bargain with suppliers. and stop buying new stuff like the big screens in the parking lots. etc
