Perhaps you saw this story when it first came out, about a year ago, but Gabriolan’s post about libraries jogged my memory. This is a fascinating story of libraries, books, sculptures and a mystery. A series of mysterious sculptures was left as a gift in support of libraries, books, works, ideas in libraries throughout Edinburgh. Do go look at them here – they are delightful.

The identity of the sculptor has never been revealed, which to me seems just right. Most recently in the news has been the announcement that the sculpture collection will be taken on tour to libraries throughout Scotland. That seems right to me, too.
