Gabriola Community Cemetery website
Hey, look: now there’s a website for the Gabriola Community Cemetery. It begins:
The cemetery on Gabriola Island has been in existence since 1882 when Magnus Edgar donated a small patch of land for a cemetery where he buried his first wife.
The cemetery was originally called the Pioneer Cemetery and was smaller than as it is today.
The site’s cemetery maps (who’s buried where) are fascinating, and will be of interest to Gabriola historians. Those who need practical information on plots and interments will find the site helpful, too.

Jared Hooper (the museum’s petroglyph replica man) has done a very nice job with the map. Well done.
