photo of one section of the GaLTT trail mapThe Gabriola Land and Trails Trust (GaLTT) has published Twenty-Five Walks on Gabriola. It’s a fold-out map/trail guide, nicely printed on glossy paper. On one side there’s a map showing roads, trails, parks, viewpoints, etc. The other side lists suggested routes, telling you things like where to park and exactly where to find the trailhead. There are notes about the trails, like:

Continue about 25 metres up a drive marked Annie’s Haven and watch on the left for a narrow trail entrance marked by a yellow tape.

The GaLTT website explains and tells you where to get a copy:

This beautiful big map (designed by Cameron Murray and Judy Preston) has information about new walks and trail licences on Gabriola. The trails, including the trails in 707-acre Park, are clearly shown as well as described in the text. Buy the maps for $3 each from our Summer Market table, or from Artworks, North Road Outdoor Clothing Store, Mid-island Co-Op, the Visitor’s Information Centre at Twin Beaches, and Page’s Marina.

(The image is a photo I took of one small part of the map. I did ask GaLTT’s permission before using it.)
