Who hides here?
Can you spot the potential nesting place in this photo, and can you guess which bird might pop out at any moment?
Step up to the CCCU cash machine, then, and look up:

Two of the pot lights above the cash machine are missing, and it looks like somebody’s building a nest there.
A swoopy little bird was flying in and out the other day. I thought it might be a barn swallow, but the nesting materials don’t look like those in the barn swallow nest we saw before, so hmmm. On the other hand, who knows what’s out of sight here?

Hi Gabriolan, I will take a chance that the nest is in the potted plant but I have also observed birds with twigs in their beaks, fly up between the lights on the underside of the Credit Union ATM machine . I assume they like the warmth of the lights, in addition to the entertainment provided by folks fumbling with their ATM numbers.

mike – you mean they’re up there to laugh at me, instead of for nest-building purposes? Sheesh.
I don’t know where the nest is – haven’t seen any activity in the flower basket. I thought those birds were building a nest in the space above the ATM machine, where there are sticks and such; they were zipping in and out of those holes the other day. But there didn’t seem to be anybody home in the evening there, so who knows. Or maybe birdies go to bed early?
