I can confirm that the trail from Clarendon has been licensed, courtesy of Jenny Marcus, across her land to the Surf cistern. The trail has been clipped by a GaLTT work party and should have enough height clearance for a horse and rider.

We also have a letter from Mike Brown giving us permission to advertise use of the connecting trail on the Surf's land from the cistern to the pub. Both trails will be on next year's version of the GaLTT trail map. By the way, the 2012 GaLTT Trail Map is printed but there was a problem with the folding machine. It's promised for the June 15 Farmer's Market!

Thanks to Jenny and Mike and to all the GaLTT volunteers who worked on this project!

Rick, I think you are confusing this with the trail from Clarendon to Upper Berry Point Road, which is on a road access - this one cuts off from Clarendon and meets up with Chichester. I am delighted to hear that it may be licensed through this most excellent GALTT program - and hope someone can confirm this.

Fences sprouting on public access roads ought to be the subject of complaints.

Actually that is one of the many unbuilt road accesses that exist on the island
They are public land and there are a lot of them.
My favorite is at the end of St Catherine's and overlooks Gabriola Pass
Unfortunately it seems to have sprouted a fence.
