The problem with apostrophe’s
If that title makes you scream or hiss, written materials on Gabriola probably bother you from time to time. You notice that people put apostrophes in all sorts of places where no apostrophe should ever be. Annoying, isn’t it?
I try to look away when a certain Gabriola company mis-punctuates all of their advertising material, every single time. I try to retreat to my happy place when I see signs listing prices for tomatoe’s
and such. But you know, this apostrophe problem seems to be getting worse. The Urban Dictionary even has a term for it now: apostrophe crime.
Maybe it’s time for Bob the Angry Flower to come to Gabriola, with Bob’s Quick Guide to the Apostrophe, You Idiots. Anybody feel like printing some copies and putting them up on local bulletin boards?

Id like to comment, but its so difficult to do that when the probability of causing annoyance’s are so high.

Talking about annoyances, I see two posts after this one, confusion between “license” and “licence”. Think “advise” and “advice” if you don’t know the difference. It’s really irritating! I don’t think I’m going to read this blog anymore.
