Tune in to Radio Gabriola
In a week and a half, Gabriola Co-op Radio will be broadcasting at 98.7 FM. Exciting, no? It’s only temporary, but I think it’s encouraging nonetheless.
The CRTC has given Gabriola Radio permission to broadcast during the week of June 7th, as the station hosts the National Campus Community Radio Conference that week.
On Twitter, Gabriola_Radio said:
The CRTC has approved us for 12 a watt transmitter operating at 98.7 FM during the week of the conference!
We will be operating it from the rooftop of the main building at Camp Miriam. Break out your radios if you’re nearby the north end!

Thanks for the bump Gabriolan. The plans also include streaming our live shows and some of the sessions over the Internet for those who aren’t in range of the transmitter. The stream will be here:

Look at the NCRC Schedule for an idea of the show lineup and to know if you will want to tune in. There should be more published soon so folks can know which sessions will be broadcast.
The NCRC Schedule is here:

Email the station if you wish at stnmgr@ckgi.ca if you have comments etc.
