Knock knock!
Crimestoppers has hired people to go door-to-door on Gabriola, selling coupon books. The Nanaimo News Bulletin explains:
Rocky Mountain Marketing representatives in bright yellow jackets will go door-to-door in Nanaimo, Gabriola Island and Ladysmith selling coupon books packed with savings on products and services from local businesses.
Well, there you go. Coming soon to a door near you! If they come to our house, they’ll meet our very own Crimestopper, the formidable dog.

Not trying to be a ‘grinch’; but, I really hate people soliciting door-to-door. Sigh…

Me too, Viv. Whether it’s the people from That Religious Group, a door-to-door salesperson, or a representative from some charity, I’m not pleased about the door-to-door thing at all. Leaves me cold.
If my doorbell rings, I want it to be my neighbour bringing cookies or my friend who’s stopping by with freshly-baked bread. Fortunately, that’s usually what’s happening when our doorbell rings, and thank God for that.
