perfect chairNow this is just too much fun and comfort to miss. (Or I am easily amused?)

Next time you’re in Nanaimo, stop in at the Flying Fish. (It’s at the corner of Bastion and Commercial Street.) Go try the Zero Gravity Perfect Chair. Sit down, pull the lever on the left armrest, and push back. More, more! You won’t believe how far back you can go in this thing, or how amazingly comfortable you’ll be. If this chair were free, I’d have one by now.

But it isn’t free. It’s something like 2,700.00 plus change, and that’s before taxes. Imagine! That money would buy something like seven mobile medical clinics for Haiti.

Instead of buying the chair, I came home and re-created the effect with pillows and such. Not quite as good, but free.

But back to the chair: it’s fun and crazy comfortable. Try it out if you’re in the neighbourhood. And then go think about emergency medical clinics and how very luck we are in this part of the world.

Update: my smart spouse points out that if one were to buy a Perfect Chair, one could save a lot of money buy buying on eBay.
