An odd corner on Gabriola
You never know what you’ll see on Gabriola if you wander off the beaten track. You just never know.
So, there’s this red truck, with part of a yellow airplane crashed into it. Somebody’s painted Jesus is Lord
on the airplane. The truck’s occupants are skeletons. Oh, and don’t miss the chain saw on top of the truck. The peace sign on the side of the truck is a bit of a contrast with the barbed wire fence, and the electric fence
sign. The dogs in the yard bark ferociously.
The truck is just next to a lemonade stand, which is supposedly open on Saturdays.
The mind boggles.
The photo gallery I have of this Gabriola oddity is offline now. I ought to put it back one of these days.

It’s a classic all right. I spotted this art object when I was visiting in May, and almost drove off the road I was laughing so hard. I stopped and took pictures too. Someone has done a lot of touchup painting over the summer, I didn’t remember that “Jesus is Lord” stuff so I checked my photos and in May the writing on the plane was Something (I can’t read the name) Farm in faded lettering. Either way, I think it’s great.
