I wish I’d discovered this method years ago. Listen, when you’re at the beach and planning to go for a swim, try this way to get yourself into the water.

  1. Wade in until the water is up to your hips or your waist.
  2. Stretch your arms out for balance, and spin around and around and around and around, as fast as you can. More, more, more! Pretend you are a spinning top or a whirling dirvish.
  3. Continue until you’re so dizzy that you topple into the water, laughing like a mad thing.

This is astonishingly fun.
