A distinctive Gabriola fountain
The Vancouver Sun has an article about Douglas Walker, who makes fountains out of old musical instruments. Note this part:
His biggest work, a 25-foot sculpture called Symphony for Flying Pigs, was built as the centrepiece for a 100-foot pond on a farm on Gabriola Island.
Spraying water in all directions, the fountain is a mishmash of tubas and French horns, all interconnected with a whirl of copper tubing sweeping around the outside like a giant serpent. [continue]
