I have often wished that somebody would start a food delivery business on Gabriola. I’m thinking of something along the lines of Takeout Taxi, Go Waiters or Yummy Web.

What a great concept. The delivery service we had in the city printed menus from various restaurants. You’d phone the delivery guys and say "I’d like to order this and that from such and such a restaurant" and they’d do the rest. The service would place your order, pick up your food, and bring it to your door. Perfect for those times when you don’t feel like cooking, but don’t feel like going out, either.

My meal delivery service fantasy might be about to come true on Gabriola. In the Sounder employment opportunities section, somebody’s looking for an evening chef and a driver for a new food delivery service. On Gabriola! I’m so pleased about this. I hope they’ll be awesome.
