Many Gabriola cheese-lovers will soon be cheese-makers, thanks to a workshop put on tonight at Harvest Thyme. Tammy and Robin showed the group how to make mozzarella and paneer — both easy cheeses for a beginner.

If you weren’t able to attend this workshop, maybe I’ll see you at the one Harvest Thyme plans for next month, aimed at those of us who didn’t register early enough this time around.

(I’m still hoping that somebody will get inspired and start a cheese-making business on Gabriola — it’s just what this island needs! Maybe those people at Slow Rise Bakery (They’ve got a blog, too) would like to make cheeses to go with their breads?)
